Shahnama

 The The manuscript comprising 448 folios, written in black and red ink is a copy of the famous Persian poets Firdausi’s magnum opus, Shahnama. The work was copied in various parts of the Islamic world. This copy at SPS museum contains 21 half page miniature paintings done by local artist. The folio is bound in leather. Most of the leaves have been repaired.
